Groundwork & landscaping

Another recent project, we undertook significant groundworks on a property to enable provision for off road parking. Situated within a small rural village, the main through road sees significant traffic flows throughout the course of the day.  Due to the proximity of the property and work area to the road, we implemented the necessary traffic control measures to ensure we could safely undertake the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

The site itself was very steeply graded which posed a challenge.  The result was the removal of in excess of 500 tons of material that gave not only the area for parking, but the required sighting lines required by the authorities to permit the new access to the road.

Once the area was prepared, we then built the retaining walls and steps then completed the hard standing.

The gardens were also landscaped to suit. Despite the extent of the work involved, the site has settled and blended in well with its surroundings.
